IX^th International Conference on Lactoferrin (9^th ILC) Structure, Function and Applications will be held in Beijing Friendship Hotel (Beijing, China) from October 18 to 22^nd of 2009.

IX^th International Lactoferrin Conference (9^th ILC) will be held in Beijing Friendship Hotel. The Beijing Friendship Hotel (Beijing youyi binguan) is located in the commercial and business district of Beijing, adjacent to the city's Silicon Valley and several famous technical institutes and universities.

The hotel is uniquely Chinese in style. There are 26 different Dining Halls on the premises serving Continental and Chinese food and the various restaurants can accommodate a total of 3000 people. The hotel is located just 30 kilometers from the Beijing Capital International Airport. Furthermore, it is located 10 kilometers from the Beijing West Railway Station, 15 kilometers from Beijing Tiananmen Square, 60 kilometers from Great Wall.

This pleasant and relaxed hotel was once a favorite haunt for Beijing's foreign correspondents who still congregate in the Hotel Bar (http://www.bjfriendshiphotel.com/english/index.asp).

Rooms at special conference rates will be booked in the Beijing Friendship Hotel and Yanshan Hotel (5-star or 4-star Hotel) listed below.
VERY IMPORTANT: Please, do not book your room directly at Beijing Friendship Hotel and Yanshan Hotel. If you want to benefit from the preferential rates, indicate your preferences in the Electronic Registration Form (link in the Registration section). The logistics secretariat will manage the reservation of your room and it will send you a confirmation mail. Of course, in the case where your choice could not be respected, you will be informed in due time.

The room prices of Beijing Friendship Hotel are lowered in the re-agreement between the Local Organizing Committee and Beijing Friendship Hotel. And the new prices are described in the following table in Chinese YUAN (RMB).

Notes:
Beijing Friendship Hotel: Fee of an extra bed is 180 RMB per night (suit for less than 12 years old). Fee of breakfast is 80 RMB /d/person in Palace or Business room and 50 RMB /d/person in Yibin, Jingbin, Yingbin Building and Guestroom. You can also have the Chinese-style breakfast in cash (about 15 RMB /d/person, not open on Saturday and Sunday) at Yayuan Apartments.
Yanshan Hotel: Fee of an extra bed is 150 RMB per night (suit for less than 12 years old). Fee of breakfast is 58 RMB /d/person .

The Jingyou Hotel with a lower room price level was situated in the same garden of the Beijing Friendship Hotel as indicated in the following map. It is only about 100 meters to the LF Conference Hall. The room fee is 238 RMB per night, you had to pay currency RMB when you check in/ out. The Jingyou Hotel doesn’t provide the breakfast. You can have the Chinese-style breakfast in cash (about 15 RMB / person, not open on Saturday and Sunday) at Yayuan Apartments (雅园公寓) also as indicated in the above map.
